Known these days for its university campus and as a gateway to Sugiton calanque, Luminy was once a prestigious rural estate and holiday residence. With remarkable wooded grounds, it lies at the foot of the majestic cliffs of Mont Puget.

Getting here and regulations

Before heading out to visit the Calanques National Park, make sure you are prepared and read about good conduct and regulations here.

The estate is open to visitors all year round, except when closed due to fire danger. The Luminy site is particularly vulnerable to forest fire.

Beware: The Luminy estate and Sugiton calanque are overcrowded in summer. Take the bus to get here as the car parks are often full. Respect the natural environment: take your rubbish with you and do not create noise pollution.

Special Luminy estate regulations forbid horseriding and cycling.
