The wallcreeper is a small bird with rounded wings, the wingspan of which is no more than 25cm .

Its plumage is ash grey and its wings are marked by a large area of carmine red and white spots. Its long, thin and arched beak enables it to unearth insects and spiders in cliff crevices. It is an excellent climber, has sharp claws and likes vertical rock faces.

Did you know ?

During the summer months, the wallcreeper lives in the mountains where it breeds, and spends the winter in the Calanques.
