The Calanques National Park is looking for your support to implement projects to conserve biodiversity and ensure the responsible sharing of the natural environment with more than 2 million visitors annually. - a tax reduction of 60% of the amount donated (maximum payment ceiling of 0.5% of turnover excluding VAT for companies, carried forward to the next five years if the ceiling is exceeded)

- other benefits may be defined, up to a maximum of 25% of the amount paid
Your advantages as an individual private sponsor:
- 66% of the amount of your donation can be deducted from your income tax: the deduction limit is 20% of your taxable income
- 75% of the amount of your donation can be deducted from your real estate wealth tax (IFI), up to a limit of €50,000
The Calanques National Park is a State public institution recognised as being of public utility, and is entitled to give you a tax receipt. The accounts of the establishment are controlled and certified by an auditor. They can be consulted in our activity reports.

The Calanques National Park forms a protected ecosystem on land and at sea. It is also one of the best known and most visited natural areas in France. It welcomes more than 2 million visitors per year: various landscape and heritage developments are therefore necessary.
Reclaiming the Cap Croisette in Marseille
The Calanques National Park is launching a large-scale operation to redevelop Cap Croisette and the southern Marseille coastline. Work is already underway to restore the natural character of the Cap Croisette site by 2024. After limiting car traffic, creating paths and replanting indigenous species, Cap Croisette will once again be a haven of peace for the 400,000 pedestrians, hikers and cyclists who visit each year.
More than 200 plant and marine species to protect
Replanting Astragales and Plantago subulata
The National Park is carrying out the following interventions:
- removing invasive exotic plants
- replanting more than 3,500 examples of Astragales de Marseille. In France, 94% of Astragales de Marseille are found in the Calanques. This endemic species, found in particular in Cap Croisette, is useful for cleaning up the soil on the southern coast of Marseille, which was previously an industrialised area, because it fixes and retains the heavy metals present in the soil
- also replanting other local species such as the plantago subulata, which is in serious decline on the Frioul islands
You will help these heritage species to develop, and the National Park will ensure their protection and regular monitoring.
Protection of marine species, including the Brown meagre
The Brown meagre has been protected by moratorium since 2014. This nocturnal fish, which lives in families of more than 40 individuals, is threatened by underwater fishing along the coast of Marseille. By monitoring no-take zones in more than 10% of the marine area of the Calanques, the National Park has succeeded in increasing the population of the Brown meagre from 2 individuals in 2014 to more than 100 today. By 2023, the moratorium protecting this species will expire. However, the National Park will continue its efforts to protect it in the Calanques marine area.
Protecting pelagic birds, including Scopoli's shearwater
Living at sea for most of their lives, these rare birds migrate to the Atlantic Ocean and return to nest every five years in the Mediterranean and the Calanques. They seek uninhabited areas to breed, as they are very sensitive to human disturbance (noise and light) and to threats from small animals as well.The Calanques National Park is working to eliminate human and animal presence on the Marseille islands where these protected species come to breed: in particular the Riou archipelago, the only place in France providing shelter to Scopoli's shearwater, the small Mediterranean albatross.

Assurances GMF for the exhibition Plongée au cœur des Canyons
The support of Assurances GMF, as part of the "sharing nature" partnership, has helped enrich the exhibition Plongée au cœur des canyons (Diving in the heart of the canyons), created by the Calanques National Park and open in Marseille to the public during February-March 2020. Thanks to the support of GMF, several specialists were recruited to provide guided tours, virtual reality sessions, popular science workshops and artistic workshops.
Rudy Ricciotti for the work on the second batch of silos
The former stone silos on the Cassis peninsula, vestiges of the exploitation of local stone in the 19th century, are one of the remarkable elements of the built heritage of the Calanques National Park. The Calanques National Park is restoring them thanks to the patronage of the architect Rudy Ricciotti, a neighbour of the site who fell in love with these remains.
Fondation L’Occitane for the Le Frioul educational garden
The partnership with the Fondation l’Occitane will allow the creation of an educational and conservation garden on the Frioul archipelago (on the island of Ratonneau) off Marseille. Visitors will have free access to this area where they will be able to discover several natural habitats representative of the islands of Marseilles, among the most arid in France, with their floral variety, including certain protected species such as the Astragale de Marseille and the plantago subulata.
Fondation IF and the World Wildlife Fund WWF France
The Fondation IF and WWF France are supporting Calanques National Park until 2022 with a new local co-management fisheries policy. The project aims to involve fishermen in the local management of artisanal and recreational fishing, in order to alleviate the difficulties encountered by the profession and to ensure the sustainable development of fishing activities.
Fondation Crédit Agricole
Thanks to support from the Fondation Crédit Agricole, the Calanques National Park has been able to produce an institutional film presenting the identity and the challenges of the Calanques territory. The video makes the general public aware of the richness and fragility of the natural, landscape and cultural heritage of the Calanques.
Interxion France, Schneider Electric France and EcoAct
Three major players in the digital and environmental sectors, Interxion France, Schneider Electric France and EcoAct, have decided to join forces to develop the first methodology dedicated to the protection of sea grass beds and enabling the certification of low-carbon projects in France, with the Calanques National Park as a pilot site. This methodology will be submitted to the French Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition (MTES) for validation as part of the Low Carbon Label scheme, which aims to certify projects that will help France achieve its carbon neutrality objectives.
CMA CGM Group
CMA CGM, the world leader in martime transport and logistics, has made a long-term committment to the Calanques National Park, between 2021 and 2023 to support the development of the Calanques' heritage. The project aims to better host visitors by providing the public with comprehensive information on biodiversity and tools (media, physical installations and displays) for understanding the natural areas of the Calanques.
Kaporal
Kaporal supports the Calanques National Park project “Involving boaters in the protection of Posidonia”. A protected species endemic to the Mediterranean, Posidonia serves as a shelter and a pantry for marine species. It also has remarkable efficiency in the sustainable storage of carbon. The anchors thrown at sea by hundreds of thousands of boaters every year deteriorate the Posidonia meadows. An awareness kit will be produced to equip more than 500 daily rental boats, along with the information and advice necessary for a more respectful anchorage of the Posidonia meadows.
Fondation BTP PLUS
Committed to social innovation in the building and public works sector, the Fondation BTP PLUS supports the Workshops Workshops for Integration (ACI) piloted by the Jardins de l'Espérance association, in the Calanques National Park . The landscaping and renovation work on the small historic building is a lever for professional integration for more than 15 young people and adults residing in the municipality of La Ciotat.
