The Calanques National Park can intervene in several ways in the restoration of the area's built heritage. Firstly, as for all the work that takes place within the National Park, its permission is required when planning requests are submitted, regardless of who the owners of the land are, to prevent damage to protected flora and fauna. But beyond that, the National Park may act as project manager for enhancement work on buildings entrusted to it by public partners, either for strictly conservation purposes or to open them to the public.
